Verbalindo was initially founded by Jamina, a Certified English><Indonesian translator, to facilitate the growing business and the short-listed team behind it and now we are driven by the mission to help more organizations achieve their global goals.

What We Do

Transcreation

Transcreation is what we do best, absolutely with passion and patience.
It is very creative translation mainly used for marketing-focused copy. The idea is to understand a concept in one language and recreate it in another rather than focusing on accuracy of translation. The process may involve changes of font, images, and other transformations by taking the local culture, idiom, tradition, belief, humor aspects into account. The objective is to evoke the same emotional response in the target language as it does in the source language.

Transcreation is the best tool when it comes to marketing your brand across borders. It is increasingly used in advertising, TV and radio commercials, in-store promotion, packaging, website, brochures, publishing, videos, and other marketing presentations.

We can help you build the English and Indonesian contents of your website.

Localization

In short, localization is translation plus cultural adaptation. Many details are considered in localizing a product or service in addition to idiomatic language translation, such as time zones, money, national holidays, local color sensitivities, product or service names, gender roles, geographic examples, etc. The objective is to achieve desired local “look and feel” of your product or service.
We can localize software, video games, websites, video, and multimedia content.

Translation

We serve our clients mostly for their English-Indonesian and Indonesian-English translation needs. Their projects are of different subjects ranging from technical to general. However, we specialize as we have vast experience in the following subjects:

Technical subjects we have completed consist of medical, engineering, aviation, pharmaceutical, education, etc although the volume of projects is less than that of our specialities. Those materials mostly come from our happy long-time clients.
We also provide certified and sworn translations.

Subtitling

Providing printed translation of the dialogue of a foreign-language movies, advertising, and video shown at the bottom of the screen.
Subtitling job is a tricky art due to limited space (40 characters in a line and maximum 2 lines) and time (subtitles should not stay longer than 6 seconds) involved while maintaining the faithfulness to meaning.

Voice Over

Editing & Proofreading

Editing concentrates more on checking the correct terminology is used to ensure the document makes sense, cut down on wordiness, and clarify any ambiguity.
Proofreading is the process of examining the final draft of a document or text — after it has been edited — to ensure there are absolutely no spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors.
Many language service providers separate these two services. However, at Verbalindo we cannot help ourselves but to always do them both when assuring quality deliverables. Unless the client requires otherwise, we have always been implementing these two inseparable processes in our quality control stage.
We are sometimes chosen by client to only edit and proofread their pre-translated documents to ensure the quality of translation.

Interpreting

Simultaneous interpretation is interpreting at the speaker’s speech speed with seconds of lag time while consecutive interpretation is interpreting after the speaker has finished speaking.
We provide both simultaneous and consecutive interpretation, currently only for the following pairs:
